TADHack Inside Track—What You Need to Know to Win Enterprise Connect’s Hottest Hackathon

Posted by Phillip Kujawa on February 27, 2018

Whether you’re a developer, a departmental head or member of the C-Suite, there is no better place to check out the latest happenings in the unified communications community than at Enterprise Connect. With over 60 conference sessions, keynotes and sessions from industry experts and over 180 exhibitors, Enterprise Connect attendees gain a broad and unique perspective that allows them to go back home with a stronger network and armed with the knowledge necessary to help your business outpace the competition.

This year’s conference will take place from March 12 through 15 in beautiful Orlando, Florida. But before Enterprise Connect kicks off, TADHack will be putting on its second Orlando-based Hackathon to kick off the festivities on March 10 and 11. TADHack’s event will be located at Valencia College’s West Campus Collaborative Designer Center, just minutes from downtown Orlando.TadHack-mini Orlando 2018

The buzz begins with TADHack

This year’s hackathon sponsors include Flowroute, VoIP Innovations, Vidyo.io and RingCentral, and they are encouraging all developers to take a chance and participate in this year’s event. Not only is this gauntlet being tossed to bring out the most innovative and creative in the development community, but participants will be playing for much more than pride.

Event sponsors are putting up their own prize money to reward the winner of TADHack Orlando 2018 to the tune of $6,000 in prize money. But not only are our companies sponsoring the event and funding the winner’s prize, we’re also judging the competition. So if you want the inside track on what it might take to win, read on below.

So what will it take to win?

This year’s event focuses on the development platforms of the event sponsors. Notably, we are inviting this year’s participants to develop their hacks on an Avaya platform. While you are welcome to develop your hacks on Avaya Breeze, you’ll also be able to match up with other sponsors to create hacks for multiple platforms.

You’ll be up against the best of the best, and it won’t be easy, but fortunately we can give you some helpful hints that may help channel your creativity.

For starters, you might want to take a look at some of the winners from some other notable hackatons from the past year. You won’t be able to win by simply replicating the formula of previous successes, but you’ll get a sense for what it takes to compete.

Looking for another helpful hint? Check out what TADHack sponsors have been up to themselves. Avaya, for instance, has been keeping a finger on the pulse of the Internet of Things, particularly given recent advances brought forth through its relationship with Arrow SI.

So while your own imagination may take you into the winner’s circle, these are some helpful hints to get you started.

A Winner’s Welcome at Enterprise Connect

Not only will developers at TADHack Orlando 2018 get a rock star welcome at the event, but the victor will also be receiving a Winner’s Welcome at Enterprise Connect, too. Winners and runners up will be announced on the Monday of Enterprise Connect, while also providing those individuals a chance to pitch during the Conference for even more exposure.
